A few things people ask about pricing
Why is the camel trip more expensive than the Jeep trip?
You get double the support: both camels and a dedicated support jeep, on the same trip.
Other companies pile heavy luggage, tents and water onto the camels themselves. We put all of that in the jeep instead, so your camel walks freely and comfortably — which means a smoother ride for you, and the option to hop into the jeep for a break any time you get tired of riding.
Why is the 6-day trip more expensive than the 8-day trip?
It's not about the total length of the trip — it's about how many days are actually spent in the desert.
The 6-Day package includes 6 full days in the deep desert, and desert days carry higher operating costs: jeeps, camels, cooks, fresh food, camping gear and field support. The 8-Day package only includes 4 days in the desert, with the rest spent relaxing at a hotel in Dahab, which is far cheaper to run.
What does the €250 base hotel package (8 Days / 7 Nights) actually include?
This is a hotel-and-transfer base package with no desert trips included, which is what keeps the starting price low at €250. From there, you add whatever excursions you like during your stay:
- Coastal or snorkelling day (e.g. the Blue Hole) — around €60/day
- Full desert safari day — around €300/day
In short: hotel days keep the cost down, and desert days add full expedition support on top.
