We create immersive desert journeys through Egypt for travellers who crave depth, beauty, and genuine connection. Our trips are designed for those who want to move beyond the tourist trail and experience landscapes, cultures, and moments that feel truly alive.
From vast desert horizons to quiet village encounters, every journey is curated with intention. We work closely with local Bedouin guides and communities, travel at a slower pace, and prioritise authenticity over checklists — allowing space for wonder, reflection, and unforgettable stories to unfold naturally.
Intentionally limited group sizes create space for connection, flexibility, and deeper experiences.
Routes, timing, accommodation, and pacing are designed so you can immerse without planning stress.
“The pace was the point. Joseph and Annet didn’t ‘show’ us Sinai — they helped us meet it. Quiet, grounded, deeply respectful.”
“No hype, no rushed checklist. Everything felt considered — food, timing, stops, silence. I left with real respect for the land and the people.”
“It wasn’t ‘tourism’. It was listening — to the desert, to stories, to the day as it unfolded. The care and integrity were obvious.”
Examples to help you imagine scale and rhythm. Every journey is customised to the guest, season, and conditions.
An immersive introduction
€300 or 21,000le
Perfect for curious first-time explorers — desert time, stories, and a slower rhythm beyond Dahab.
A typical one-day experience runs from around 9:00am to 5:00pm.
The day includes:
One example of a one-day experience could start with a visit to an area where you can see ancient inscriptions carved into the rocks. From there, you might continue to a nearby fossil hill, before heading into a canyon for walking, hiking and light climbing.
While you’re exploring, your chef prepares a freshly cooked lunch. On the way back, you may stop at ancient tombs over 5,000 years old before returning around 5:00pm.
Another option could include visiting inscriptions, fossils and ancient tools, followed by exploring a smaller canyon. You might then continue to Dragon Head Mountain for lunch, photos, and time in the sand dunes.
After lunch, you can visit nearby dunes for sandboarding, playing in the sand, or simply relaxing, before heading back.
Camel experiences can also be included — either a short ride (15–20 minutes) or a longer, slower journey through the valleys for a more traditional desert experience.
All one-day experiences are flexible and can be tailored, combining canyons, fossils, inscriptions, tombs, sand dunes and camel riding depending on your pace and preference.
Delve deeper
€600 or 42,000le
Shifting landscapes, remote camps, and nights under starlit skies — with room for adaptation and rest.
An overnight journey allows you to fully experience the desert, spending one or more nights in a remote location. A typical trip starts around 9:00am and returns the following day around 5:00pm.
The experience includes:
Vehicles are used to carry equipment, food and water, while camels are used for riding, allowing for a more comfortable and relaxed experience for both guests and animals.
One example journey could begin with a drive into the desert to explore ancient inscriptions and search for fossils. From there, you may continue into a canyon for walking and climbing, before stopping for lunch prepared by your chef.
In the afternoon, you continue deeper into the desert to your overnight camp. One option is a zigzag canyon — a sheltered, narrow space where you camp surrounded by candlelight, creating a calm and intimate atmosphere.
After dinner, you can relax by the fire or step outside to enjoy the night sky. Depending on the moon, the desert can be either full of stars or beautifully lit by moonlight.
The next morning begins with breakfast in the desert before continuing the journey. You may visit ancient tombs over 5,000 years old, stop at Dragon Head Mountain for views and lunch, and spend time in the sand dunes where you can sandboard, walk, or simply enjoy the landscape.
You return to the hub around 5:00pm, completing a full desert experience across two days.
There are also options to camp in more open locations under a full sky of stars, or to extend the journey across multiple nights in different locations including canyons, oases and remote valleys.
Every overnight journey is flexible and tailored, allowing you to choose between more adventure, more comfort, or a slower, more immersive pace.
For those who want distance
€9000 or 630,000le
A slow-travel journey through valleys, oases, and nomadic traditions — shaped by conditions and permission.
Multi-Day & Extended Desert Journeys Our desert experiences aren’t limited to just a few days — they can last as long as you like. Whether it’s a short escape of five days or a full immersion of 40 days, two months, or even longer, these journeys are completely flexible. You can spend your time hiking through vast desert landscapes, travelling by camel, or exploring by 4x4 — or a combination of all three. What’s Included The structure remains similar no matter the length of your journey, but the experience deepens over time. Each day typically begins around 9:00am. From there, you’ll travel through the desert — sometimes hiking, sometimes by camel or jeep — depending on the terrain and your preference. A typical day flows like this: Morning: Travel for 2–3 hours Midday: Stop to rest, enjoy tea, and have lunch Afternoon: Continue for another couple of hours Evening: Settle into camp before sunset, share dinner, and relax around the fire The next morning begins early, usually around 5–6am, with breakfast before setting off again. A Natural Rhythm After a few days, you begin to fall into the rhythm of desert life — simple, grounding, and deeply restorative. For many people, a 5–6 day journey is the perfect balance. It allows enough time to truly disconnect from the outside world and fully connect with the desert. No phone signal. No distractions. Just you, the landscape, and the experience. Comfort on Longer Journeys On extended trips, we carefully plan routes to ensure regular access to water and comfort points. Every 3–4 days, we reach an oasis where you can: Wash and refresh Change clothes Rest more deeply There are also certain locations, such as Serabit el-Khadim, where it’s possible to stay for multiple nights. These spots may offer added comforts like: Showers and toilets Proper mattresses A more settled base to explore the surrounding area Staying in one place for a few days also means less packing and unpacking — allowing you to fully relax and explore at your own pace. Flexible Exploration Some days involve moving camp. Others can be based in one location, with daily excursions into the surrounding mountains, wadis, or desert plains. Areas like Wadi Disco or the Sinai mountains allow for this kind of flexible exploration — returning to the same camp each evening. The Experience Spending extended time in the desert changes something. Sitting around the fire at night. Breathing in the scent of woodsmoke. Waking with the sun and sleeping under the stars. It’s a rare chance to step away from the modern world — and reconnect with something more real. And one thing you don’t need to worry about? You won’t smell bad. After a few days… everyone smells like the fire anyway.
The difference isn’t what you see — it’s how you experience it.
If you’ve ever come back from a trip feeling like you need another one to recover, that’s the difference.
